My File Download Links Don’t Work with SendGrid. How to fix it?

SendGrid is an email sending service that you can use to make your email receipt delivery more reliable.

You can use their WordPress plugin to connect EDD to your SendGrid account. Some users have faced a minor issue with file download URLs that Easy Digital Downloads include in purchase receipts.

You can follow these steps given below to fix this issue:

  • First, you need to log into your SendGrid account
  • Then go to Settings then Tracking
  • Then you need to click on Click Tracking
  • Next, click Edit on the right side of the screen.
  • And then uncheck the box for Enable click tracking in plain text emails as shown below: 

After following these steps file download links in email receipts should now work properly. If you are still facing issues then you need to disable Click Tracking completely on both HTML and plain text emails.
